Blue Light Grill: Tasty menu and an excellent situation to meet people. Enjoy the chicken. Boars Head Inn: Pretty much the most exceptional restaurants in Charlottesville. The grounds are breathtaking. Breakfast with French Toast is good. The suppers are a great date experience. Zocalo: Fun and fine meals with a twist. Outstanding entertainment. Downtown mall. Buddhist Biker Bar: Reputation for fun and drinks than for the menu items. When UVA is in session this place is hopping.
Off the beaten path: The Tavern: A place townies and UVA students join to eat pretty good country prepared meals. Escafe: Events each and every night. One of the big gay restaurants on the Downtown Mall. Guadalajara: Two locations. Popular Mexican food. Our favorite is the tacos. Top picks: Thai 99: Thai fare, surprisingly good for dining in or take home. We prefer the Pad Thai. Christians Pizza: Quite good New York style Pizza by the slice or by the pie. Two locations. Little John’s: 24-hour meals, Clearly one of Charlottesville’s best kept secrets. University of Virginia. Try the Turkey Ruben.
