Advantages of Travel Insurance

The travel industry has been experiencing an ongoing rise in travellers across the globe. Every day the world seems to get a little smaller as we watch the news and use other forms of media and the internet to keep ourselves up to speed with the various political climates, fashions, social trends, even weather pretty much anything emerging around the globe, and on a day-to-day basis too.

Along with this boom in travel, the travel insurance industry has experienced an increase in policy sales, partly due also to the volatile state of some countries. Nobody can predict what decisions will be made and a lot can change overnight which makes travel insurance far more attractive when you are away from home and could end up in need of some security.

Today many more students and young carefree travellers are spending years at a time away from home in search of excitement, culture, time away, work experience and studies, as more of us feel the urge to acquaint ourselves with the world and be more enlightened. The world is accommodating these young travellers too and making it all the more enticing. Alongside these developments, Travel insurance has grown to cater to today’s traveller.

If you plan on spending a substantial amount of time away, take a moment to surf the net and check out some travel insurance companies which offer special deals for long term travellers, adventure travellers, backpackers and workers based abroad and gap year students. Finding cheap travel insurance is as simple as clicking your mouse.

Even if you are a young traveller with no investments or family, you still stand to fall into debt or lose money if you aren’t covered by travel insurance. The medical section in your travel insurance is as important as any other, possibly even more as young travellers embark on more adventurous and risky holidays and the lack of travel insurance could mean a seemingly minor injury becoming a lifetime disability if not given medical attention.

Young or old, long or short time away, destination near or far. Travel insurance is always a wise idea.

The Travel Book Mini

A Travel Book Mini: A Journey Through Every Country In The World is truly that. This book has 217 maps covering 230 countries. All 888 pages are stocked with wonderful pictures that truly make you want to go out to visit these countries. There is information about each country (like the best time to visit New Zealand is from November to April), places you must see (in Qatar, that would be ancient fort at Al-Zubara), and media information about the places (listen to Dvorak who is from Czech to learn about that country). They also have summary called In A Word (Brrrr! for Greenland), trademarks (Morocco’s trademark is mint tea), and interesting information that would surprise you (For Iraq, the garden of Eden is said to be located here).

If you have kids, they will love this book.  My 4 and 1 year old like to flip through it.  They make up stories about the pictures for us.  This book would also make an excellent geography lesson for us all (but I can definitely see it being used by homeschoolers!).  That being said, this book is great for travelers of any age.
