Gay adventure travel options are available across the globe, with options that are ideal for any month of the year. From snowboarding in New Zealand or skiing in the Andes, to exploring volcanoes in Ecuador, Iceland or Hawaii, there is essentially no limit to the options available for gay adventure vacations.

Whether you prefer a physically challenging mountain climbing adventure, exploring ancient ruins in dense rainforests or a less strenuous excursion to see the great statues of Easter Island, the perfect gay weekend adventure or extended vacation is simply waiting to be planned.

If you would like to plan a gay adventure vacation that includes volcanoes, rainforests, exploring islands and time on the beach, Chile, Hawaii or Ecuador are all great options. Although Ecuador is small, it is home to a variety of landscapes that include tropical coastlines, dense rainforests, the Galapagos Islands and volcanoes, such as the snow-capped Cotopaxi.

Visitors to Chile in search of gay adventure travel options will find word-class snowboarding and skiing in the Andes, pristine beaches, volcanoes, Easter Island, the Mirador de Chepu Penguin Colony and the expansive Patagonia, which is home to the deserts and landscapes of the Torres del Paine National Park.

If you only have a few days to spare, a gay weekend adventure in Hawaii might better suit your needs and offers a wide variety of outdoor adventures, which can be combined with the many leisurely dining, shopping and entertainment options available on each of the major islands.

As found in Chile and Ecuador, Hawaii has exceptional beaches, beautiful rainforests, an active volcano and a variety of landscapes waiting to be explored. It is also home to gorgeous canyons, cliffs and waterfalls, the snow-capped Mauna Kea, black sand beaches and a coral reef that is popular for diving and snorkeling.

If you would rather head north for your gay adventure tours, Iceland is a popular choice for outdoor adventures, including whale watching, bird watching, rafting, kayaking, hiking and ice climbing. Travelers can also get a certificate on Grimsey Island showing that they have crossed the Arctic Circle, hike around an active volcano, see the largest glacier in Europe or take a mineral-rich dip in the Blue Lagoon’s geothermal, fluorescent blue waters. Other destinations that are perfect for adventure travel include Bali with its volcanoes, Brazil with its lush jungles and Australia with miles of Outback and the spectacularly diverse landscapes of the Northern Territory’s Top End.

Regardless of where your adventurous side takes you, you are sure to have a fabulous experience when you opt for one of the many destinations that offer exciting options for outdoor activities. When you choose a destination that also has opportunities for leisurely, relaxing activities or a fun night on the town, it can make for an even better adventure travel experience. To get the most from your gay adventure, you may want to consider opting for an organized tour, which will ensure you have a safe, well-planned, exciting adventure.

Tanzania is a land of geographical extremes, the mainland occupies an estimated area of 954,087 km2 and it boasts a population of an estimated 37,187,939 rich in culture and traditions. Tanzania holds Africa’s highest peak and among the tallest freestanding mountains in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro). It is also home to a section of Lake Victoria, the largest lake on the continent as well as Africa’s lowest point – the lake bed of Lake Tanganyika.

Tanzania is one of the unique destinations on the African continent that has yet to be discovered by many. It is a land of many wonders hubbing an un-paralleled diversity of fauna and flora. It boasts some of the best, unspoiled beaches in the world. They are stunning, with their white sand, palm trees, and cool breeze from Indian Ocean. Seldom in the world does one find so fine a setting for island fantasy: conveniently situated among the skyscrapers of commercial Dar es Salaam or the rather sleepy day to day of Zanzibar.

Zanzibar archipelago boasts numerous beaches that abound in fringed coral reefs. The magnificent beaches are ideal for swimming with dorphins, snorkeling, scuba diving as well as other water sports. Stone Town, the historical capital of Zanzibar, is also a huge attraction of the island.

Mafia Island Marine Park, situated south of Zanzibar, is home to several world-class snorkelling sites. As a matter of fact Mafia Island Marine Park is one of the few places in the world where sharks assemble every year. Catching this spectacle is indeed thrilling, but requires you to be quite courageous as the sight of the sea giants can be intimidating.

Tanzania safaris can be put into two basic categories: The northern and the Southern circuits. The Northern Circuit includes the Serengeti National Park, which is a home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippopotamus, elephants, zebra, buffalo, water buck, crocodiles, gazelle, warthogs, and wildebeest. One major attraction is the wildebeest migration, which occurs between the Serengeti and Masai Mara in Kenya.

Other attractions along the northern safari circuit include the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge as well as Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. Ngorongoro Crater was formed by volcanic activity that erupted during the mighty Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley. It is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles with its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors.

The southern circuit, comprising the Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Park are less popular, although they are interesting destinations. Touring those sites can be extremely enjoyable for both the first time visitor or frequent tourists. The destination is ideal for those looking for a safari destination that is not too overcrowded with tourists.
