Museum of Contemporary Art: Creation Station! Transformations!
Visitors may engage their creative sides at Summer Creation Stations through interactive and creative projects appropriate for children and adults. This week, visitors are invited to explore and think about the exhibition further by taking everyday objects to create distinctive art.

Artropolis
With art, antiques, and culture celebrations throughout the city, Artropolis – May 1-4 – presents an unparalleled arts experience.
Artropolis is anchored by Art Chicago. At The Merchandise Mart, this comprehensive survey of painting, photography, drawings, prints, sculpture, video, and special exhibitions features early 20th Century modern masters through today’s most celebrated artists from around the world.
Three stand-alone on-site exhibitions – New Insight, Partisan, and The Hairy Who and Imagist Legacy in Contemporary Art – will harmonize with Art Chicago. Running concurrently at The Mart are NEXT, the invitational exhibition of emerging art, and The Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair featuring more than 100 of the world’s top dealers who will showcase antiques and fine art from a wide range of categories, periods and locales.
All around Chicago during this extraordinary weekend, more than 80 cross-discipline institutions – including museums, dance troupes, nightclubs, music venues, arts organizations and other cultural institutions of all sizes – will participate with special openings, performances, exhibitions, back-of-house tours, discounted tickets, after-hours events.
