New York City is the leading business distract of the United States. It has been known as a golden icon in the sectors of finance, culture, transportation and manufacturing industries. However, aside from being a business metro, New York has a set of beautiful recreation spots to take a break from the busy city life.

Covering 843 acres of land, Central Park is in the heart of New York City. It offers many things including lakes, ice-skating rinks, a Central Park Zoo, and a wildlife safe haven called the Central Park Conservatory Garden. Central Park has been a historical landmark since 1963.

Located at the center of the busiest streets in New York, it’s not surprising why many people flock to Central Park to get away from the fast NYC life. It does not only present a taste of nature inside the urban jungle but caters as well to entertainment and recreation. It is also a hub for the many tourist services such as bike rental in New York.

Seeing Central Park for the first time is best done with a well trained tour guide. One of the best ways to enjoy your day in the park is to go on one of those Central Park bike tours. In fact, biking tours are in demand by most visitors.

The advantage about going with group bike tours is you’ll be escorted by a tour guide.

Celebrity sightings are also common in Central Park. Think about how awesome it would be if you actually bumped into a real star while on a bike tour in Central Park. There are actually a lot of celebs residing near this popular urban park. Tour guides can point out their homes for you.

The park has forty six miles of trail available to bike. These trail enable you to see the timeless attractions of Central Park. Attractions range from the magnificent sculptures, breathtaking bridges, serene lakes and the boathouse. Another nice thing about the trails in Central Park is that you’ll be able to see and enjoy the recreation features of the park.

For first time visitors as well as for frequent and seasoned travelers, the city is dazzling. You have seen its many attractions in countless Hollywood movies and yet the reality is both more astounding and more chaotic.

It is a city in motion, whether it’s day or night. No other city in the world exudes such energy and vibe. Just like the bright lights of Times Square, New York’s incredible spirit remains undiminished by the attacks on the twin towers.

Whether you are an art, history or music buff, or whether you like clubbing and dining, the city has it all. From grand museums, theatres and galleries, to an array of eating places and parks, there’s plenty to see, do and experience.

The city has several iconic attractions, starting with the magnificent Statue of Liberty. Some of the other must-see attractions include the Empire State Building, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. Its museums are such a treasure trove that you can lose yourself in one for over a month and yet not manage to see everything.

If you have a limited time to spend in New York, focus on Manhattan. Many wonderful retail stores, theatres, restaurants, pubs, bars plus most of New York’s main attractions are centered here.

Some people like to walk around the city, grab a hot dog on the street and absorb the city’s boundless energy. While others go upscale and choose to dine at fancy restaurants and go for gallery openings. In New York you can survive on $50 dollars a day and find that $5,000 are not enough. How you spend your time, and money, will ultimately define your experience of the Big Apple.

Every season offers something special and that’s why tourists come to New York even during its hot and humid summers and cold and windy winters. There’s always something going on in the city and you will never have to worry about things to do. In fact your only dilemma may be figuring out how best to fit in everything in during your holiday.

After you visit New York once, you will be back again and again…

Clive Adams has written in great detail about how to plan your Holidays To New York. He also provides wonderful tips for Holiday Travel Around The World.
