Vacations are a great way to get away and have some fun. You can release stress, recharge your batteries, and just plain relax. Another amazing place to visit on the weekend is San Francisco. This place has plenty to offer, much more than you’ll be able to do in a weekend, so you don’t have to worry about getting bored. You can take a ride in the famous street cars, or take a tour of the infamous Alcatraz prison.

And what list of weekend getaway destinations wouldn’t be complete without Las Vegas? This is the place to go if you are at all interested in fun and excitement. Vegas offers something for everybody, and you are sure to find what you are looking for. From world class hotels to luxurious restaurants, you’ll have a blast in the town that never sleeps.

When you go on a small weekend trip, something magical happens. Your stress quickly melts away, and you get a whole new outlook on life. When you get back to work, you’ll be more motivated and productive than ever.

For the past 18 years, my wife and I have taken a week of vacation in Las Vegas. We are from Green Bay Wisconsin. We have have stayed at hotels on the strip and downtown. Fitzgeralds Hotel and Casino is where we have stayed most times. That was our hotel again this year.

On the first night of our stay the water pipes vibrated all night. It was difficult to sleep with the noise. The next morning while I was taking a shower the faucet connection in the tub fell out of the wall with the water running. I called the front desk about this and they sent an engineer to fix the problem. The engineer shut off the water and then told me the plumbing in that room was installed backwards. He suggested I ask for a different room. I went down to the front desk and asked for a different room. The clerk did give us a different room. Originally we were on the 16th floor. The new room was on the 27th floor. There were no employees available to help with moving to the new room so I did it myself. I asked the desk clerk to comp us for this inconvenience. He told me to come back when the manager was in.

I returned to the front desk and spoke with the manager. I asked for 2 meals at their steakhouse located on the 2nd floor. He gave me 2 comp meals at their buffet and said that was the best he could do. That night in our new room the toilet ran all night. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. He sent a clerk to me to tell me that I already received comped meals so he wasn’t going to do anything for us.

You would think that with decrease in tourists to Las Vegas they would treat their customers better than this. We are repeat customers to this hotel because the service in the past was always great. After this last trip to Las Vegas and staying at Fitgeralds I think it will be the last time we stay there.
