If you want to enjoy an awesome Maui Resort, you definitely need to check out the Ka’anapali Resort. The pictures on the site alone make me want to hop on a plane and head over to Hawaii right now.
The Ka’anapali Resort includes award-winning dining, recreational activities for all ages and abilities, Hawaiian activities, Maui Weddings , kids programs (which for a person with little ones I love), and much more! This resort definitely has something for everyone. The resort is located on eleven lush acres along Maui’s Ka’anapali coastline. People who’ve been there have voted them as the “Best Places to Stay” (according to Conde Nast Traveler Magazine) and the “#1 Best Value Hotel in Hawaii” (according to Travel & Leisure Magazine). Plus, if you travel from May 1-August 31, 2009, you can save with their Summer Best of the Beach Sale! You can easily take a virtual tour, so you know if this will be a good fit for you. I know that I would definitely be checking out their spa and their snorkeling trips if we ever head out to Hawaii.
If you are thinking of heading to Hawaii for vacation, honeymooning, or just for fun, make sure you check out The Ka’anapali Resort! You won’t be sorry that you did.

For the past 18 years, my wife and I have taken a week of vacation in Las Vegas. We are from Green Bay Wisconsin. We have have stayed at hotels on the strip and downtown. Fitzgeralds Hotel and Casino is where we have stayed most times. That was our hotel again this year.
On the first night of our stay the water pipes vibrated all night. It was difficult to sleep with the noise. The next morning while I was taking a shower the faucet connection in the tub fell out of the wall with the water running. I called the front desk about this and they sent an engineer to fix the problem. The engineer shut off the water and then told me the plumbing in that room was installed backwards. He suggested I ask for a different room. I went down to the front desk and asked for a different room. The clerk did give us a different room. Originally we were on the 16th floor. The new room was on the 27th floor. There were no employees available to help with moving to the new room so I did it myself. I asked the desk clerk to comp us for this inconvenience. He told me to come back when the manager was in.
I returned to the front desk and spoke with the manager. I asked for 2 meals at their steakhouse located on the 2nd floor. He gave me 2 comp meals at their buffet and said that was the best he could do. That night in our new room the toilet ran all night. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. He sent a clerk to me to tell me that I already received comped meals so he wasn’t going to do anything for us.
You would think that with decrease in tourists to Las Vegas they would treat their customers better than this. We are repeat customers to this hotel because the service in the past was always great. After this last trip to Las Vegas and staying at Fitgeralds I think it will be the last time we stay there.
The purpose of this information is advise other travelers planning on staying at Fitzgeralds that this is how they treat their customers.

Park City Mountain Resort is one of those places that has a little something for everyone. Both expert skiers and the very newest ones (that would be me) can find fun and adventure. They even have maps you can print off before you leave, so you can have a game plan of how you want to tackle the mountain. What else is there besides skiing? A ton! There is a gravity propelled coaster that goes through the mountains, tubing, and you can even go snowmobiling! There are over 100 restaurants between here and the airport, so you can definitely find something to everyone’s fancy.
They even have a blog that you can check out. It is written by moms who have actually been there and can give you helpful advice. The Adventure blog can help with packing, eating, and planning. I found some great advice for which restaurants are family friendly. They even have a contest on there for a vacation for 4 to Park City, Utah including your lodging and skiing.
Just looking at the pictures makes me want to go there. It looks extremely fun and exciting (even for a newbie like me!). If you are looking for a great skiing vacation, Park City Mountain should top your list.

Bill and I had the pleasure of staying in the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center on Saturday night. This is one the better hotels Bill and I have stayed in (and we’ve stayed in many bad, bad, bad places). When you first walk in, there is an escalator to get up to the hotel lobby. The lower level of the hotel is the convention center. The people behind the desk were extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby was decorated with modern contemporary furniture. They had some great sound proofing too. Our room was on the third floor, but right over the lobby. We never heard a thing from the lobby the entire time! The rooms were fairly large, and the bathrooms had TVs in the mirrors. The TV in the room was also HD, so my husband was in seventh heaven. The bed was super comfortable too. We also had a chase lounge chair in the rooms too! If you are there for business, there was a desk to work on, and several plugins for all your business needs. We also checked out the hotel bar, Gather, and that bar was very nice also. We were there after the dinner we were there for. The staff was awesome and made great drinks. Again, the furniture was very contemporary but very comfortable. My only complaint is that parking is quite a walk away from the hotel. I lucked out that Bill dropped me off at the door, so I didn’t have to walk that far.
If you are in the Schaumberg area here in Illinois, this is definitely a hotel you should check out.
