There are two reasons why Puntataenakut is a good option for affordable waterfront recreational real estate. First, there are a lot of lots around the lake. This isn’t the case with a lot of lakes in the Interior of BC. Second, it’s location is both accessible and yet far enough away from major metropolitan areas to still be affordable.
Tibbles Lake is a quiet Lake. Puntchesacut Lake gets much more motorized traffic than Tibbles Lake does. That means there are more opportunities to view wildlife in Tibbles. You can often see White Pelicans in addition to the regular everyday wildlife of the area.
You can also fish in Tibbles. Rainbow Trout are the most abundant game fish. These can get as big as two pounds. You can also catch Char. Fishing is a year round activity. Ice fishing can be quite productive. The only times you can’t fish are durng the freeze up and the break up.
Whether you call it Puntataenkut Lake or Tibbles Lake, this is a great place for recreational waterfront. The waterfront is low bank. It is serene. It is relatively well priced, and very accessible.
