Have a complaint about a company? The Squeaky Wheel is your spot to vent. As the name implies, they are working with you to get a resolution. Each complaint triggers an email to the company, gets sent to 5 search engines, plus every time someone views the complaint, another email goes to the company. It does cost $5 per complaint you want posted. However, if you get a refund, this may be the best $5 spent. My only complaint is that you are unable to search this site. I would love to see all the complaints for certain companies. We all have horror airline and vacation stories, so I thought I would pass on a site that would allow us to hopefully get some resolution.
What a peculiar idea, I wonder what their success rate is?
Working as a webmaster for a company trying to clean up these kind of messes caused by companies like this is AWFUL! What if the complaint is FALSE? It’s stuck on Google FOREVER, and you know what that is like trying to get false complaints, or ANYTHING for that matter off Google.
The same goes for Ripoff Report. They should be taken off the internet completely.
I see both sides of it. Sometimes you can’t get a company to respond unless you take drastic action like this. However, having worked for some companies that have had items listed on Rip Off report, the only way you can get them removed is to pay them and then you have to hope they actually do. That sounds a lot like black mail to me.
Hey .. that’s a great idea, but as Jules said, quite easy to abuse. Would be good if they had a transparent process where the company being accused can just reply to the accusation
