Times Square - New York

Jan-29-2008 By Lisa

This is another stop you have to go see while in New York. I was actually amazed by it. You see it on TV all the time. Yet, you have no idea how big and how bright it is!

It is super easy to check out Broadway too!

It is tad overwhelming. However, you have to check it. They have every kind of store and restaurant you would ever want to try along here. I have only been there at night. I have a feeling it is just as cool during the day (just not as flashy!)

Grand Central Station - New York

This isn’t the greatest picture of Grand Central Station, but it’ll have to do.  Another stop to make in New York is Grand Central Station.  You can spend several hours just walking around and looking at the architecture.  It is a beautiful building.  Bill and I spent quite a bit of time in here and never even took the subway!  It is amazing the craftsmanship that can be viewed here.  When looking around for things, everybody  is very helpful (I had to make a quick restroom stop)!  I think we even saw a restaurant in there too!

If you are in New York, this is one of the sites you need to see. It is a very humbling experience. It makes me quite sad to even think about us going there. You can’t get very close to where the actual Twin Towers were. However, they have these signs up. These first ones are all the names of the people who lost their lives:

Here are some other pictures that they have up there. It is pretty scary stuff.

The amazing thing is that there is a church and a cemetery across the street from here. Everything is still standing. However, the names and the dates on the headstones were blown off!

This is a site as an American you have to visit at least once. It is sad, but we must all remember what happened that day and all those who lost their lives. I am hoping the building they are putting in its place is bigger and better.

Bay Park Square Mall

Jan-11-2008 By Lisa

A great place to shop while you are in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is the Bay Park Square Mall.  It is the biggest shopping centers in Green Bay, and it has all of the stores that you could want.  They have stores like Shopko, Younkers, Old Navy, and JcPenney just to name a few.  Bay Park Square is located right off Oneida St., so it is very easy to find.  It is a one story mall, so it is easy to get around.  There also is a food court, so you can eat while you shop.  If you like to shop, definitely stop here.
