Madison loved The Children’s Museum In Oak Lawn, Illinois.  Mom, on the other hand, not so impressed.  I found that admission price was a bit high for what we found there.  Adults are $4 and kids are $3.50.  They toys and things to do were considerably old.  There wasn’t a lot of room and the place easily got trashed.  When we went, they were busy, and you felt like you were on top of everyone else.  Currently, it is located in a very small building.  They are in the process of raising money to move the museum and get newer projects for the kids to do.  Once this happens, it will be a great place to take your kids.  However, until that happens, I would pass on going here.

Bay Beach Amusement Park

Dec-3-2007 By Lisa

If you are ever in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this is a place you should definitely stop at. Where else can you go, take your kids, not spend over $20, and spend the whole day there?

Bay Beach has been around since 1892 in varies incarnations. The rides that have been offered have changed over the years, but the affordability has not. Tickets are still 10 cents. Some rides require 1 ticket, some 2. I think the train ride and the pony rides are extra. As a child, I loved this place. As an adult, I love bringing my kids here.

They have rides for both adults

bay beach, scay

And kids:

bay beach, ladybugs

Not only do they have amusement park rides, train rides, and pony rides, they also have a pavilion that can be rented. There is also a park and picnic area too.

Snacks such as ice cream, soda, cotton candy, slushes, sno-cones, and nachos range in price from $1.00 - $2.00. The Pavilion “fast food” items range in price from $1.25 - $5.00 which includes hotdogs, hamburgers, brats, chicken sandwiches, pizzas, french fries, etc. Daily Specials include a sandwich, snack item, and a soda for $4.00. Taxes are included in all prices.

This is a one stop shop for affordable fun!
